CodeIgniter and Laravel
21 December, 2016
Was thinking about which PHP framework to use for my next hobby project
Thinking of making an ATS - Applicant Tracking System
Thought I would make it on Laravel rather than CodeIgniter, to learn more about Laravel
But I realized I didn't  like Laravel too much when I first worked with it
Laravel is supposedly the most popular PHP framework, with its package management and nice CLI interface where you can make models, controllers and migrations using commands
But it's a lot of files, even if it's jut the base framework it has to bring in a lot of libraries from the internet.
The migration stuff is cool in that it keeps a clear history of things but it's bothersome having to make/refresh/resolve errors when making small database changes.
I also don't like the package management stuff too much since it's a pain when the packages are no longer on the internet.
Those are just opinions from my first time though, I'm sure they will change.
Tomual IV
15 November, 2016
Website is mostly complete - ready for content for 2017.
Regarding the content, it's hoped that it will focus more on PHP and walkthroughs.Â
This is different from tomacoin's focus which was mainly HTML and CSS.
tttt will still be on tomual and will be updated more often.
tomacoin will still remain up, as there is no duplicate content.

Not sure if I like the half-half page idea anymore
It's too strange
Prefer standard two-column or one-column layouts
Tried another layout and color scheme
Punch Me
2 October, 2016
Made a PHP habit punch card to motivate completing daily tasks.
It was made to be under 10KB.
Haven't been on top of Tomual's site launch at all
Went to a game festival today
The people there gave me motivation
Mini Web Applications
22 August, 2016
There is a contest for building a web application in under 10kb.
10k ApartThinking of two things which I would find to be useful:
- A "habit" punch card
- A digital content organizer for curation/concepts
Both would be built with PHP using SQLite.
Might not be possible to do either under 10k though, would be a good exercise regardless.

Got general styling of the pages done
Working on the cover image now
Tomual I
2 July, 2016
Coming up with a new design for my personal site.
It will be renamed to Tomual.
The navigation will probably change to:
- Software
- HTML CSS
- Gallery
- Notes
- About
Design concept. Been liking half-half page designs, giving pages a book feel. Might try that.
